Agliardi: “We must hold on to the point we gained”

FOOTBALL: Yesterday against Reggina, Fontana’s stiff neck gave an unexpected chance to Federico Agliardi, who didn’t lose it and gave an excellent performance. But, even if he was one of the stars, saving more than once the result, Agliardi shares the merit with the group. “The positive aspect is that we didn’t lose on a difficult pitch, we must hold on to the point we gained because it gave us continuity and stability. We certainly could have been brighter in some situations, but winning at the ’Granillo’ isn’t easy. We have to keep a low profile because only a humble behaviour will allow us to gain little by little the forty points we need”. Moreover Agliardi returned back home without having conceded any goals. One more satisfaction, not only for him. “Not having conceded any goals was very important, it’s the first time for me in this season and I hope it’ll still happen. But my team-mates also helped me, because the defence worked very well and I’m happy for them. But I don’t think I’ve done anything in particular.

I already knew from this morning that Jimmy wasn’t feeling very good, so I warmed up in order to be ready”. One of the most surprising things is the player’s attitude, he is happy even if he’s not playing much. Happiness that comes from the inside. “Like all people form Brescia, I never give up and I always consider the positive side of everything. When you are going through a difficult moment, you have to find the strength inside yourself, complicated situations always come up. Sure, my family and my girlfriend were very supportive of me, but I also have a good feeling with my team-mates, so I can face everything with more tranquillity. In January there were rumours about the opportunity of leaving Palermo, but nothing happened and I haven’t thought about that anymore. Anyway, it wasn’t a problem for me, since I feel good here. I only think about working and giving my contribution to Palermo. I’ll be happy only if I’ll still have the chance to play”.
