FOOTBALL: “We only need few points to save ourselves, forty or forty-one could be enough”. After Sunday’s draw in Reggio Calabria, Palermo seem to have reached their first goal and the team can start thinking about big things. But Giulio Migliaccio wants to keep his feet on the ground and concentrate on Saturday’s match against Udinese. “We are very close, we want to reach that goal in order to be more relaxed.
It’s been a particular season, we changed manager and went through difficult moments, but we can still save ourselves and we are close to the Uefa zone. Now that we are more relaxed we can live day by day and just think about the next match, in which we have to confirm our way of playing and show everybody that we are becoming a real team. Saturday won’t be easy because Udinese is a good team, it has many excellent players and a good manager, we’ll give our best. But I don’t think that if we win, we will automatically participate to Uefa Cup. We have to be confident in our qualities but in the meantime realistic, twelve matches are still too many”.
The midfielder also talks about his eight months in Palermo and doesn’t hide his disappointment. “As for the game scheme, I have no problems, but I have always been a midfielder with another player. The most important thing is the spirit with which you play and follow the manager’s decisions. Guidolin thinks I am a good protection for the defence and I’m trying to repay his trust. In general I’m happy with my season but I’m a little disappointed about the injuries that didn’t allow me to train constantly. I am know that I can still give more”.
